Looking For Luck? Lucky You!

Evil eyeOh the silly things we do for luck! From keeping rabbit's feet (which really doesn't seem all that lucky for the bunny!), to wearing evil eyes or keeping a lucky number, most everyone has that one special talisman that keeps the good luck flowing.

For many people, that 'lucky' item is a piece of jewelry. Lucky for you (get it?), Zales has all kinds of lucky looks available!

ShamrockThe most obvious, of course is the shamrock or clover (see how we got a St. Patty's Day reference in there?). Zales has a bunch (pun alert!) of shamrocks and clovers - including some that dazzle with diamonds or gemstones like this fabulous emerald version. See all of our sharp shamrock looks (say that five times fast) here.

Another symbol of good luck is the horseshoe. Lots of people believe that to hang a horseshoe with the ends pointing upwards is good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by. To hang it with the ends pointing down is bad luck as all that floating good luck will fall just fall out.  All that being said, this super-cute DOUBLE horseshoe pendant is twice the luck! As an aside, all our horseshoe jewelry points up - so that's a good sign (and just good fashion sense too).

HorsehoeSome other lucky icons used by Americans (and some Canadians) include rabbits, ladybugs, wishbones and elephants (this super cute jade one is EXTRA lucky!). In other cultures, dragons, dragonflies, turtles, fish and bamboo are lucky tokens.

In the immortal words of Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry, "Do you feel lucky?"  Whatever talisman you use as your personal symbol of good luck, you're certain to find a super stylish version at your local Zales store or at Zales.com.
